R8 toolholding collets are used on Bridgeport milling machines. They are used directly in the machine spindle for general purpose milling and drilling operations. These collets have dedicated bores for specific cutter shank sizes.

Used in virtually alll workholding applications where high concentricity is required. Will only grip material at the nominated bore size.

Double angle collets are used for drilling and light milling in situations where it is necessary to maintain a small diameter profile, for instance, in close centre multi spindle drilling. These collets are available in 0.5mm increments. Each collet can accommodate a 0.5mm collapse.

The type 10SG supergrip toolholding collet is used for heavy milling where high concentricity is required. The collet is based on a single angle construction and has a 0.4mm range of collapse.
