Bohler UTP 65 D Hardfacing Welding Electrode is a rutile coated electrode designed for the highest demands in joint welding and welding of difficult to weld steels. It is particularly well-suited for repair and maintenance of machine and drive components, such as gears, cams, shafts, hot cuts, hot trim plates, and dies. UTP 65 D is also ideally suited as an elastic cushioning layer for very hard surfacings.
UTP 65 D has outstanding welding properties, including a stable arc, spatter-free welding, and a finely rippled seam with a homogeneous structure. It is also very good at slag removal and self-lifting on parts. UTP 65 D is also good for welding in awkward positions.
UTP 65 D is stainless, creep resistant, and work-hardening. It has excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance, as well as high tensile strength.
