The use of belt skimmers reduces disposal costs (due to longer cooling lubricant service lives) and extends the service life of machines and filter systems. The growth of bacteria in lubricants is avoided - this extends the service life of cooling lubricants, reduces the risk of skin conditions and decreases the development of smells and vapours. Belt skimmers can be used in industrial processing technology for treating cooling lubricants and for separating oils in waste water treatment, and therefore make a corresponding contribution to implementation of the legal obligations to reduce waste.
